We value children at VCDC. Each classroom is intentionally designed with teachers and curriculum for each age group. We want our kids to have fun, connect with God, develop friendships, and discover who God made them to be.
As parents you have an awesome, God-given responsibility, and we are honored to come alongside you on this journey.
Our goal is to provide a safe and secure environment for all kids and ministry volunteers. Before serving, all Kids Ministry volunteers are required to have a thorough background check and are trained in emergency procedures.
Children (Infants–5th graders) are registered before each Sunday service in the Kids Wing at our secure check-in. Classes start at the beginning of each service for infants through 2nd grade. 3rd through 5th graders will worship with their parents in the auditorium and are then released after worship to meet their teachers the lobby and then head back to their classrooms.
Special Needs
During the weekend services, we welcome children/students with a variety of special needs and abilities. We would love to talk with you about your child and how to best support your family. Our desire is to place children/students in an age or developmentally appropriate mainstream classroom with a volunteer during the church service whenever possible. Over the last year our Kids Ministry has grown in numbers which means we have more kids to love and care for, and more kids that get to hear the good news every weekend. That means we need more of you to serve in Vineyard Kids Ministry during our 9am & 11am services. You can serve 1x a month in the nursery or at the Kids Counter, or you can lead worship 1x a month. We also need leaders and assistant leaders in the classrooms 2x a month to share the good news and do fun crafts and activities that are related to what the kids are learning about.
